Welcome to Stitch & Grizz Dog Grooming, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional grooming services for your furry companions. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making an appointment or using any of our services.

1. General Terms

1.1 Booking: Appointments are required for all grooming services. Bookings can be made via our website, phone, or in-person.

1.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling: We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a fee of $20 payable before next appointment.

1.3 Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your grooming service, and a late fee may apply.

1.4 Deposit: For online bookings a $20 deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable unless cancelled within the required notice period (prior to 48 hours before appointment).

2. Health and Safety

2.1 Health Assessment: Before grooming, we will perform a basic health assessment of your pet. If your pet exhibits signs of illness, injury, or parasites (such as fleas or ticks), we may refuse service and recommend a visit to the vet. If fleas are found on your pet during the grooming process they will be given a flea rinse which will incur and extra charge of $20.

2.2 Vaccination: For the safety of your pet and others we require all pets in our salon to be fully vaccinated. Pets without up-to-date vaccinations will not be accepted.

2.3 Behaviorial Issues: We reserve the right to refuse services if a pet is aggressive, anxious, or has behavioural issues that may pose a risk to our staff or other pets. In such cases, we will notify you immediately and may recommend a behaviour evaluation before future grooming. If extra time is needed due to behavioural issues extra fees may apply starting from $15.

2.4 Aggressive Dogs: Pets exhibiting aggressive or unsafe behaviour during grooming may be muzzled for short amounts of time if necessary. If this is not successful, we may terminate the grooming session for the safety of the dog and staff.

2.5 Health Risks: By using our grooming services, you acknowledge that while we take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, there are inherent risks involved in grooming, including but not limited to injury, stress, allergic reactions, or health complications. You agree to release Stitch & Grizz Dog Grooming and its staff from any liability for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during or after the grooming process. You are responsible for disclosing any known health issues, behaviour concerns, or allergies to ensure the best care for your pet. We will do our best to prevent any issues, but you understand that certain risks are inherent to the grooming process.

3. Services Provided

3.1 Grooming Packages: We offer a variety of grooming packages, including baths, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. Specific services and pricing will be discussed prior to your appointment.

3.2 Special Requests: If you have any specific grooming preferences (e.g., haircut styles, grooming products), please let us know before the appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but cannot guarantee all requests will be met.

3.3 Tidy Ups: Please note tidy ups do not include length off body, only trimming of feet, paw pads, face, hygiene areas and tail. Tidy ups are not available for matted dogs. If your dog is matted they will require a full groom and be charged as such.

3.4 De-Matting Policy: We do not offer de-matting services due to the potential discomfort and stress it may cause to your pet. Mats and tangles can be very painful for your dog and may require specialized care. If your dog’s coat is severely matted, we may recommend having a short full clip refresh to ensure your pets comfort and safety. If you have concerns about your pets coat condition, we encourage you to contact us prior to your appointment to discuss options. Removing matting takes extra time and causes damage and extra wear and tear on our tools therefore matting fees may apply (from $15).

3.5 Refusal of Service: Stitch &Grizz Dog Grooming reserves the right to refuse you service in our salon. We do not tolerate rude, disrespectful, aggressive or threatening behaviour to our staff or clients.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing: Prices for grooming services vary depending on the size, breed, and condition of your dog. A price estimate will be provided during booking or at check-in.

4.2 Payment: We accept payment via credit/debit card and cash. Payment is due at the time of service.

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1 Liability Waiver: By utilizing our grooming services, you agree to release Stitch &Grizz Dog Grooming from any liability for claims of injury, damage, or loss that may arise during or following the grooming session.

5.2 Damage to Property: We take great care in handling your pet, but if any damage occurs to your personal items (such as collars, leashes, or accessories), we are not liable for any damages or losses.

6. Privacy and Data

6.1 Personal Information: We may collect personal information such as your name, contact details, and pet’s information (breed, age, medical history) to provide the best service possible.

6.2 Data Usage: Your information will only be used for business purposes, such as confirming appointments and sending reminders. We will never share your information with third parties without your consent.

7. Customer Responsibilities

7.1 Prior to Arrival: For their comfort and to reduce delays due to clean up and re-bathing please toilet your pet before bringing them in for their grooming appointment. Failure to do so may lead to a cleaning or extra time charge.

7.2 Arrival: All pets must be brought into the salon on a lead. This ensures their safety and helps us guide them around the salon.

7.3 Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing accurate information about your pet’s health, behaviour, and grooming history.

7.4 Pick-Up Time: Once we have notified you either by text or phone that your pet is ready for pick up please pick up your pet promptly at the agreed time. If your pet is not picked up within 30 minutes after the completion of grooming, a late pick-up fee of $1/min may apply.

7.5 Pick-Up before being notified: Please do not arrive for pick up until we have notified you by phone or text that your pet is ready for pick up. Pets naturally get excited to see their owners and if we are still in the process of grooming them this can create an unsafe grooming environment and we may not be able to finish the groom. Full payment will still be required if we are unable to complete the groom due to arrival without notification.

7.6 Pets Condition: If your pet is found to have any medical conditions or signs of illness that were not disclosed, we reserve the right to refuse grooming services until the pet has been assessed by a veterinarian.

8. Social Media Policy

8.1 Consent for Photos and Videos: As part of our commitment to showcasing our grooming work, we may take photos or videos of your pet during their grooming session. These images may be shared on our social media platforms, website, and marketing materials.

8.2 Opting Out: If you do not wish for your pets photos or videos to be used for promotional purposes, please inform us at the time of the appointment, and we will respect your privacy.

8.3 Customer Sharing: We encourage our clients to share their pets grooming experiences on social media and tag our salon. However, please refrain from posting any inappropriate or offensive content related to our services.

8.4 Respectful Communication: We ask that all interactions on our social media platforms be respectful. We reserve the right to remove any posts or comments that are deemed inappropriate, defamatory, or disrespectful.

9. Grooming Consent
